Recycle Computer Monitor

Disposing of electronic waste has become a major problem all over the modern world and it's largely because there are whole industries devoted to creating new, more efficient computer equipment. It seems that every few months, "state-of-the art" technology becomes outdated. Suddenly your PC monitor looks clumsy next to the sleek new model featured in that glossy brochure. You have to buy it, after all it's less expensive than your old monitor was and it's space saving. However disposing of the old monitor can be a problem and you know the best option is to recycle.

PC monitors are developing particularly quickly: flat-screen, wireless, higher definition, the new features just keep coming. Recycling the old PC monitor is always appealing because every good citizen is eco-aware. Everybody knows that those electronic bits and pieces that make up the life force of your PC are not easy to dispose of without affecting the environment. So recycle!

Since most PC monitors are not broken when they are replaced, it would be a waste to throw them away and much more beneficial to recycle them in some way. Even broken PC monitors and computer parts can be donated or sold and then fixed and re-sold by enterprising companies or charities.

Recycling has become an industry on its own and there are a number of ways of doing it. PC monitors, computer consoles and keyboards can be donated to charity for dispersal or even for their own use. Many schools would appreciate working computers or even just monitors, especially those donated from businesses as they are usually fairly up-to-date and come in quantity. Donation is recycling that benefits the community and the nation the most. All businesses and schools require computers but not all can afford as many as they need to do their business optimally.

PC monitors and other computer parts can also be recycled within companies. New employees or divisions need to be equipped with the latest technology, so meeting their computer requirements is an opportunity to up-date more computer dependent areas of the company. Most employees do use computers for at least part of their working day, but there are some areas of most businesses where computer use is essential most of the working day. These employees would require the most technologically up-to-date equipment so that their PCs, especially PC monitors, would need to be recycled quite frequently.

Some companies recycle their PC monitors and other computer equipment by re-selling it internally. Most companies have a notice board or advertise in an internal newsletter so that anyone can purchase equipment that is no longer in use for their own private purposes and often at knock-down prices!

If all this recycling sounds like too much trouble and expense, just remember that are companies that will do it all for you. PC monitors and other computer equipment can be recycled and disposed of quickly and efficiently and all state legal requirements will be met. This way, businesses can get on with what they do best!
