PC Disposal discussed in article: Data destruction and certification has long been
available to companies looking to jettison large amounts of used equipment. But making it
affordable for home PC users and home businesses has proved to be a challenge. Now for
$25 or so plus the cost of shipping, PCDisposal will destroy your equipment and send you
a certificate confirming that the data has been destroyed or erased and disposed of in an
EPA-compliant manner. "Consumers get the same level of security as Time Warner," says
Bostwick.

Quote from PC Disposal: "As companies get ready to clean their closets, drive cleansing
should be more than just an afterthought," said Kory Bostwick of PC Disposal.

PC Disposal discussed in article: Kory Bostwick, president of PCdisposal.com, says
although the federal government, specifically the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA),
classified the material as hazardous waste, the issue has been "left up to the states to
police." Generally, he says states on the both coasts have enacted more stringent
computer and electronics disposal regulations while "the central states have been
somewhat lax in their requirements."

Quote from PC Disposal: "Most people delay the disposal process until the server has
absolutely no value," said Kory Bostwick, principle of PCdisposal.com based in Kansas
City, Kan. The firm disposes of up to 20,000 units each month, including personal
computers, servers, monitors, printers, and telecom equipment. Almost 10 percent of his
business is server disposal. "The sooner you get rid of it, the more value you can
recapture," Bostwick said."

Feature on PC Disposal: "Companies such as Sprint Corp. and Time Warner pay
PCDisposal.com...to take old equipment off their hands. The fee seems small compared with
fines that can be levied should environmental regulators trace old equipment in a
landfill back to a company."
