PC Disposal is part of a family of technology businesses started in 1989. Kory Bostwick founded PC Disposal in 1998 because he was concerned that there were few environmentally-friendly options for companies who wanted to dispose of the toxic glut of obsolete computers that were filling offices – and ultimately – landfills.
With this idea in mind, PC Disposal has grown into one of the largest computer disposal firms in the industry. Our employees have decades of computer service and support experience. We provide asset retirement services for companies of all sizes throughout the United States and Canada, and many of our clients are Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies.
Taking IT disposal data security to a new level
Since our start, dozens of competitors have gone in and out of business. Unfortunately, many of these company’s customers discovered that their computer recycling firm failed to remove sensitive data or properly dispose of equipment.
To address this concern, PC Disposal launched the first data removal guarantee. PC Disposal is the first and only computer disposal company to back its services with a $1,000,000 secure data guarantee. It’s also the first and only computer recycling company to offer secure steel cages for transporting IT equipment to our national headquarters in theKansas City area.
PC Disposal's security, disposal and recycling methods are fully compliant with HIPAA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley and Environmental Protection Agency rules. PC Disposal carries errors and omissions insurance to protect against client data theft.

“Sprint Corporation and Time Warner pay PC Disposal...to
take old equipment off their hands. The fee seems small compared with fines that can be
levied should environmental regulators trace old equipment in a landfill back to a
company.”
